Will my adapter work?
iPhone requires a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) adapter. Look for “BLE,” “Bluetooth 4.0,” or “Bluetooth 5.0” on the box. Any standard ELM327-based BLE adapter should work.

- Plug it in. Find the OBD-II port (usually under the dash, driver’s side) and plug the adapter in.
- Turn the key to ON or start the engine. The adapter needs power and the car’s computer awake.
- Open AXLY → OBD Settings → Connect. AXLY scans for nearby BLE adapters — tap yours to pair. (No need to pair it in the iPhone’s Bluetooth settings first.)
- You’re in. Read codes, watch live data, run the track timer, or ask AXLY about anything it finds.
Not connecting?
- Make sure the engine is running (or key in the ON position).
- Confirm the adapter is BLE, not Wi-Fi or classic Bluetooth.
- Unplug the adapter for 10 seconds and plug it back in.
